In many cases, Zapier can be used to automatically create new Verse Capture leads in your CRM after they are Qualified.

To verify if your CRM works with Zapier, navigate here and enter your app using the search bar. If no search results are found, do not worry! Verse can still send you qualified lead alerts via text and email. Learn more about your alert settings by clicking here.

A Zap is essentially an automated workflow that connects your apps and it consists of a trigger step and one or more action steps. When you publish your Zap, it will run the action steps every time the trigger event occurs.

Note: If you're unfamiliar with Zapier, we highly recommend checking out our article here to learn more or clicking here to create an account.

General Instructions for Creating Leads

Step 1) Create Zap:

To create a new Zap from your Zapier account, hover over the left sidebar menu and click Create Zap.

Step 2) Add a Trigger:

  • Select Verse as the trigger app: the Zap will be triggered by an event that occurs in Verse.

  • Select New Qualified Lead as your event: this will be the event that occurs in Verse that triggers the Zap.

  • Select Verse as your app account: connect your account to use in the Zap trigger.

Step 3) Add an Action:

  • Choose your CRM for the action app: Zap will perform an action in this app when it is triggered.

  • Select "Create Contact" (or its equivalent) as your event: this will be the event that the Zap performs in the selected app when it is triggered.

  • Select your CRM account: connect the specific app account to use in the Zap action.

  • Set up your action: set up the data that you want to be updated in the CRM. Common fields include Lead First Name, Lead Last Name, Lead Email, Lead Phone, Source, Status/Stage, Notes/Description for Verse Summary.

  • Test your action: test your action to see if it works!

Step 4) Name your Zap:

In the upper left, click Name your Zap and enter a new name for your Zap so that it is easy to find later on.

Step 5) Publish your Zap:

After your zap is named and tested, click Publish in the upper right.

All set! Now Zapier will run your action steps each time your trigger event occurs.
